COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Volunteer Opportunity

Please call Anne Crockatt at: 503.253.1073, if you would like to join our group of volunteers which helps keep SnowCap open.

We meet at SnowCap from 5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month. It's a good way to be a part of community and spend a little over two hours helping those who are less fortunate.

Helping Hands Fund

The Helping Hands Fund is designed to assist our community with emergency needs, such as: gas money to get to a job or buy a bus ticket, or school needs for a child.

If you would like to contribute you may write a check payable to: Parkrose Community UCC , please write "Helping Hand Fund" in the memo field. Thank you!

Fred Meyer Gift Cards

We also provide Fred Meyer gift cards for those that need a little extra help in between paychecks. Through the Parkrose Community UCC Helping Hand fund we are able to provide a limited number of $10 gift cards to Fred Meyer. The gift cards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Because we have a limited supply, only one gift card per family unit is available.

Distribution is on the last Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you are interested in contributing to the Helping Hand Fund or would like additional information regarding this program, please contact the Church Administrator, at 503.253.5457 or office@parkroseucc.org.

Are You Familiar With 211?

211 is a human services hotline similar to 911. Since so many people now come to the church seeking assistance, it is important to remember this resource. It is a true gift to be able to help those in need. Sometimes their needs are beyond our abilities, though. In those cases, we can at least offer them the services available through this hotline. Look for flyers around the church to learn more.
